The project aims to affirm the concept of the Mountain Pass, maintain and improve tourism, protect and enhance the build heritage and natural environment and reorganise the existing infrastructure.
The redevelopment of the RD416 through the site ensures the fluidity of the traffic and the safety of different users by separating the various flows. Its removal liberates the central area of the site and creates a new heart for the station. The pedestrian zones are deliberately designed and rest on the site like a folded origami, tying together the site’s structural elements: mixed use pathways, hiking trails, access to public services, hotels and restaurants, playgrounds…
