To breathe new life into the heart of the city, on a gentle windy day, we threw a swarm of petal of roses off the water tower. Breeze has played with it. We observed for a while: swirling rise of those multicolored petals. Then we saw them landing in circle, one after the other, because of the running out of steam wind.
Obviously, the first to touch down were the biggest ones. They drew structuring paths and connected opposite entries with tightened key lines. Then, two white bluish petals landed metamorphosing into a river for the first one and into a pond for the second one.
While falling down, they wove in an irregular way, a pattern made of drives, small squares, playing areas, lay-by, places filled with thousand of sorts of roses and flowers, with benches, children’s games, arbors and doors… space, solid and hollow, light and shade. Yet, when this rain stopped, the park has changed : simple as a petal, complex as a rose.
